Report a mistake
Think a figure looks wrong? Please tell us. Getting the numbers right is the whole point of this site.
How to get in touch
Email corrections@salarybreakdown.uk. It helps if you can tell us:
- which page you were on, or the salary you entered,
- the options you picked (region, student loan, pension),
- the figure you expected and where it came from, like your payslip or an official page.
You can also open an issue on our public code repository.
What happens next
- We check your report against the official rates and our calculation.
- If we got it wrong, we fix it, add a test so it stays fixed, and update the "last checked" date (currently 17 October 2026).
- If we're right but your payslip is different, we'll explain why. The usual reasons are a different tax code, a salary sacrifice scheme, or a pension taken on qualifying earnings.
Before you write
Our methodology page lists what the calculator assumes and what it leaves out. We can't give personal tax advice, so for questions about your own tax code or an underpayment, HMRC is the place to go.
